M27 Christmas Closure, Junction 9 to Junction 11

The M27 will be closed completely, in both directions from Junction 9 (Whiteley) to 11 (Fareham East) from 8pm, on 24 December 2025 to 4am on 4 January 2026.

The planned closure will affect road journeys to and from Southampton and Portsmouth. A signed diversion route via the A27 will be in place during the closure. This route is expected to be busy between 10am and 4pm daily, so travellers are advised to adjust travel times or consider using public transport.

Westbound exit remains open at Junction 11 (Fareham/Gosport)

Eastbound exit remains open at Junction 9 (Whiteley/Park Gate)

No westbound entry at Junction 11 (towards Southampton/A32)

No eastbound entry at Junction 9 (towards Portsmouth)

Regular updates will be shared online, via e-bulletins, through social and local news media.
